Meet Our Designers

Harmony joined us after being self-employed as an independent Design and Color Consultant for 17 years. She also has a strong background in sales and customer service, as well as 16 years of experience in mixing and selling paint or stain. More recently she has worked in flooring and tiles sales and was the Field and Design Manager for a cabinet refinishing company.

Harmony’s personal design preferences are Rustic Luxe with Boho elements, and mid-Century modern, with flavors of Scandinavian minimalist mixed in.

When Harmony is not designing or working on the sales floor you will find her sitting at the soccer field or swim meet supporting her kids, hiking, traveling, drinking good Guatemalan coffee, reading a good book, horseback riding, or serving on missions trips to Guatemala.

Avery is one of our best Interior Designers with a degree in Interior Design. She has a background in up-scale furniture sales and design. She has a passion for design and creativity, and loves to help people bring their visions to life. Her favorite thing to do in the store is stage the showroom and bring her own styles into our settings here in the store. Avery has been a strong addition to our team and every customer that works with her immediately feels her passion come through with each project is a part of.

Avery is from Traverse City, so naturally she enjoys beaches and the outdoors. In her free time she enjoys thrifting, line dancing, outdoor sports, and trying new foods.

Avery excels at designing anything from traditional, to modern, to everything in between and has an appreciation for all design styles, but would best describe her own style as contemporary, transitional, and boho. She prefers warm tones with green and blue accents, and loves to add earthy touches to her designs.

Amanda is our Assistant Manager and Social Media Coordinator. She has 7 years of sales and management experience previously from Buckle, Lucky Brand, & Plato’s Closet.

Through her extensive background in fashion, she has grown her own creative skills into a strong passion and deep knowledge of interior design. She uses her management background to train our new staff and guide our designers through our extensive Amish designing process. Amanda is also in charge of managing our vast showroom and ensuring it is always well staged and looking its best. She also assists in inventory management, designing showroom samples, and the ordering process.

As our Social Media Coordinator, Amanda designs and manages all of our social media campaigns, coupons, and follow up.

Amanda was raised in Allendale and graduated from Allendale High School. In her free time, Amanda is a busy mom of two young children. When she isn’t busy wearing her many hats at Broene’s, or being a full-time mom; Amanda loves to watch reality tv, go shopping, & do anything creative.

Amanda designs a wide range of styles, including modern, mission/traditional , and contemporary. But she herself most closely aligns with the transitional, bohemian, and glam style type; emphasizing in greens and golds, mixed fabric mediums, and soft accents.

Howdy! My name is Julia! I am originally from Fort Worth, Texas which I feel influences my design style quite a bit. I am currently going to school for my bachelor’s in Broadcasting Communications. I have a few years of experience in sales for western wear and boots, which gives me a good background knowledge in leather and western design. The past 4 years I have worked in healthcare, and it has helped me see each person’s needs and way of thinking.

The design style I enjoy the most is Traditional with soft lines and rich wood tones. Others are Midcentury Modern with a bit of Western Boho. My favorite part of my job would be getting to know each customer to find the perfect additions for each home and lifestyle. As a designer my job is to help customers create their dream home. My favorite wood to work with is Hickory, QSWO, and Elm. Each wood type has different looks, hardness, and that is why I am here, to help with the decision-making process.

My role as a junior designer not only allows me to apply my artistic abilities but also enables me to accompany clients on their creative journey. I firmly believe that design is more than aesthetics; it’s about creating spaces that resonate with individual personalities and lifestyles.

In my spare time, amidst keeping up with coursework, I channel my creativity into creating captivating paintings. I specialize in crafting custom paintings tailored to specific spaces—whether it’s a personalized portrait capturing the essence of family or pets, or a striking statement piece to elevate the ambiance of your chosen room.

I’m excited to collaborate and bring your design visions to life, infusing each project with creativity, passion, and a touch of personalized artistry.
